I have a 89 Civic hatch with a B16a1 MaxRev T03/04e Turbo kit
and i need a good deal on hondata -- LET ME KNOW IF YOU KNOW ANYONE DOING A GROUP BUY OR JUST A GOOD DEAL --

Hondata disallowed group buys, as it caused disidence between dealers. If you see Hondata advertised for a price lower than retail, or a group buy posted, please choose one or more of the following. You are:

A) possibly dealing with a unauthorized Hondata dealer.
B) are about to get screwed out of your money and Hondata.
C) are dealing with a dealer that will not be around long after the sale.

Your best bet is to ask around to the dealers to see which is offering the best price.

no, not really. Authorized Hondata dealers are allowed to sell their units for whatever they like. They just do not allow group buys and advertised (internet msg boards, websites, paper ads) prices to be lower than suggested retail. Many companies do this, especially in whored out markets where nobody can make any money (please see car stereo). This helps you choose your dealer by contacting them, and building relationships, instead of them whoring out units, and encourages you to choose your dealer based on preference of the tuner's merit, instead of their cash flow. Kinda even's the playing field, allowing us small guys (like myself) to compete with larger companies. I could run group buys all the time on Hondata, and spend all my time shipping **** out and going through all that hassle, or I could sell a few units and really give them quality service. That's the way it should be!
