I'm a new member here that just registered, but have been reading on honda-tech for awhile now.

So I've got a b16a sec. gen. motor wit DC sports header, highflow cat, with 2.5" exhaust piping and an Obx muffler, also got a no name intake currently running a JDM p30 but just about to sell it, and a p28 already ordered that i will chip and not sure what map to run with for best performance, i was thinking with an ITR or a CTR map? any help, greatly appreciated!

 

hook up the knock sensor if you haven't already and run the P30 no need for a chipped P28 unless you plan on getting it tuned or if you don't want to hook up the knock run a stock B16 map in the P28

 

That's my problem with the knock sensor, have it hooked up and still throwing a code 23 for knock sensor. So its gotta be a bad sensor, but anyways i want a chipped ecu, but non of the shops near me chip p30's.

or you can get a stock map with knock disabled from phearable.net , i believe they have a thread in the market place as well

 

Alright thanks for the help, i just want these sensors disabled so they wouldn't bother me with the cel's, and i already have a p28 on the way.
But i still want to see if theirs folks out there with a ctr or an itr map on there b16's, anyone?

For what? Do you really think that by just putting a MAP on an ECU it will somehow turn your car into a CTR? Funny.

 

ctr map better then itr, sense ctr is 1.6

 

Really? Stock B16a with no CTR internals? Really? I don't see how that works but if it does knock yourself out.

 

ok hes asking between itr map and ctr map for his b16 so i answered, his mods thats second question

 

Just run the b16 basemap. I can burn you a basemap. PM me for details.

 

It's all good now, just put a b16 map with a little fuel modification.
