Default Ebay Springs Question

Since the springs that come with the coil over's are absolute trash why hasn't anyone just used the stock spring/coil? I'm sure it would still be soft...but not 30lbs soft? Can Somebody splain that?

What are you asking exactly?

If you can use a stock spring on a coilover from eBay?

The issue is you're using stock height springs with spring rates designed to operate at a specific height. When you change that height you can create issues because the springs would be too soft to compensate for the loss in shock travel.

Also, it isn't an issue with just the spring being trash. It's an issue of the overall quality of the product. Do you really think that the threaded sleeve is awesome quality if the springs are ****?

Of course i don't think the sleeve is awesome quality, but I've not heard of a sleeve/perch failing. The only failure I've read about so far are dampers being busted because the ebay springs are too soft.

the springs that come with the ebay coilover are going to be softer than stock apparently by alot. So I'm asking if I use stock coils would there be any improvement?

Where's your data on that?

The biggest issue with them is that the springs aren't necessarily the SAME spring rate from front to back and side to side.

Putting a taller, softer spring on a threaded coil is not going to help you.

Save your money and buy a halfway decent set of suspension.
