Default Rebuilt b16a head, now car won't idle.

So I had my pr3-1 head rebuilt, put everything back together, and now my car won't idle. I'm almost dead sure my timing is correct and have rechecked it.

I thought it may be a vacuum line as when I take a hose off, it will idle around 3k like it normally does when there is a leak, but as soon as I put the hose back on, the car dies.

I'm kind of at a loss with this and would appreciate the help.

Also, I did a compression test as I was curious, and the #4 cylinder is low, like around 60psi. Originally, it was the #1 cylinder that was low and all the others were fine. Were the valves not seated right when the head was rebuilt or would something else cause this?

Rebuilt head? What all was done? They may have screwed up the valve seats if they went that deep into it. Highly unlikely if this is any sort of reputable shop though.
More than likely your valves need adjusting. I'm pretty sure that the shop that did your head didn't do that for you. Check the clearances to be sure.

Sorry, should have clarified, just getting more and more agitated as I can't get it to run right. I got a valve job done, so all new valves as well as resurfacing etc.

x2 on the valve adjusting. I adjusted mine wrong before and it wouldn't idle right, I ended up going back and re-doing the whole job.

Ok, so check your valve clearances. Sounds like they're way off in that one cylinder.

Sure thing, thanks, I'll give it a whack tomorrow and report back.
