b16a2 custom supercharger kit with fmic
just thought id post pics of a project that ive nearly finished ,
i have a b16a2 in a classic mini and im in the process of building a supercharger kit , would like to know peoples opinions on it , my thinking was everyone seems to complain about the heat associated the jackson sc , so ive built a kit that allows a intercooler or charge cooler to be used, space is limited in the mini so i have decided to run a fmic to start with , here are some pics, i would like to hear peoples feedback , jim

The charger runs of the back of a double sided poly v belt , the engine drives anti clockwise and the charger drives clockwise, everyone makes it out to be a problem that the charger runs opposite , but its really not hard , cheers for comments , jim

You can change the rotation of the M62 by flipping the rotors (driving the other side).
Nice fabrication but changing the rotation would have saved a lot of work. Mounting the charger where the alternator is also would have been a option then.

The pics make it look like there's space by alternator, some of the body work has had to be relieved just for alternator , there is no way the sc would fit there , I truest everywhere , loads of possibilitys but not without cutting into wings front panel if bonnet, and that wasn't Wat i wanted to do , regarding switching rotors, I wanted it to be so if anything went wrong with charger just swap it , cheers Jim
Car runs on dta stand alone ecu, so no distributer, there's a trigger wheel on crank pulley, then a ford coil pack , ,
I have a vacuum operated recirculated valve so whenever throttle is closed the supercharger boost will recirculate. Cheers

B16a turbo classic Mini.
Sounds good to me. I've got the map booked for end of month. So as long as it doesn't go bank then yer ill be there , I think were pretty local to each other, you should pop over ir sonething, Jim 07816053563 if you wanna give me a shout
For any one who's interested, there are some videos of the car in action on.youtube , just type in mini.vtec supercharged , there should be 3 videos from in car ,Jim. Car is running 260bhp and 190 torque
