I didn't put this in the for sale section because I don't have an asking price, and I'll probably just try to sell it local on craigslist. I can't see anyone driving cross country to pick this one up lol

It's a 91 Civic Si hatch. The car has just under 150K on the clock and is almost bone stock. It has an intake and thats about it. Body wise, the doors are rusting at the bottom, and if it rains really hard the sunroof collects a little bit of water and maybe a teaspoon or 2 drip out once you start the car up in the morning and start moving. The paint is old and worn, nothing to get excited about.

Mechanically it starts up every time and works like a charm, trans is ok, doesn't grind into any gears. A/C and Heat don't work, but thats about the only problems.

Realistically, what can I expect to get for this car? Part of me wants to think it's worth about $6, while the other part of me was told 91Si's are one of those awesome years that autocrossers love to get and will pay more than a few bucks for one in any condition.

My buddy has spent $2,000+ on hondas that don't run, but then again he's an idiot :-) What do I ask for this thing?

 

It's got new brakes on the back (3,000 miles) and I'll sell it with brand new rotors and pads for the front, not installed yet.

yup would not pay anything over 1500 for it and thats already a lil high considering the leaks and the rust.

 

Can u get us pics of the all the rust u see? doors...Wheel wells...normal honda rot places.....engine bay....seats....full pic of dash....anything else you would want to include.....Everything will help...

 

I don't post on here that often, so I don't know all the rules. What do I need to change? It's not a for sale ad, if it was I'd just put it in the marketplace.

^ agreed....I'm surprised they haven't taken this down yet.....and OP if you mean 6K, then you're in a rude awakening. Like someone said, I personally wouldn't pay 1500 for it. Especially without heat. If you find a eager high school kid you might be able to squeeze 2k but if I were to buy it, the tip top highest I'd offer would be 1100. And that's only because it's a Si and if it still had all the Si options.
