93 civic tach issue need help

93 civic tach issue need help
Just bought a 93 dx hatch. One of the owners before me swapped in a b16a2.
The car was an auto not a stick problem is I changed clusters cuz the last had no tach. It's still a auto cluster but this one has a tach. Which isn't working. Do I need to hard wire it or should I check some sort of connecter to find the problem
