I need some help. I have an '05 Accord and each time I open the trunk the light doesn't turn on. The bulb is fine and I checked all the fuses which I think are connected to the trunk but all fuses are fine.

Today, I accidentally left the trunk open while driving and noticed the trunk indicator light on the dash wasn't on. I wonder if the two are related?

Can anyone help with the fix to this?

 

Sounds like you have have a damaged wire somewhere.
Have a look at the harness in the trunk and see if you may have a damaged wire or something there.

If the bulb and the fuse is ok, and no other fuses are burnt out then I would guess as it being a wiring issue.

Sometimes it triggered by a switch at the latch, check that area as well.

 

soumds like you might have a trunk switch that might be bad.

 

if the car does't see that the trumk is open, hence it wont turn the trunk bulb on
