Hey just a question looking for some help. When I brake my steering wheel has a slight shake that varies depending on the braking pressure I am using. Any thoughts on what could be causing this? Thanks

 

Your rotors are most likely warped. Changed them or get them resurface.

 

can you check your own rotors or is it necessary to take them to a shop to get them looked at or replaced?

 

the shudder under braking is pretty indicative of warped rotors.

how long have you had the rotors/pads on for?

yeah you can kind of check them. jack up the front of your car and take off your front wheels and stick your head in the wheel well right above the rotor and spin the wheel (while it's not in gear obviously) and look down at the top of the rotor. isn't in any way precise...but it will give you a rough estimate of whether you have some warped ***** or not. not too expensive to get them resurfaced or to just buy some new ones too.
