Default OBD0 to OBD1 question.

i have D15B1 in my car right now and i'm going to swap a D15B7 into it.
i'm going to use my wire harness from the B1 on the B7. i know i need a jumper harness to run the obd1 ecu (p06) should i also look for a jumper harness for the obd1 dizzy? or can i just splice some wires?
what's the easiest method. i'd like to do most the work on the cheap, but am willing to spend a little to make it easier.
is there anywhere that sells the whole kit. (i.e. ecu, dizzy and mpfi wire harnesses)?
any suggestion would be nice. thanks.

The easiest and cheapest way is to of course to do it yourself. But yes a harness conversion to dizzy and ecu for OBD1 and MPFI conversion, MPFI intake manifold, OBD1 dizzy and injectors, O2 sensor and your P06 obd1 ecu......there's a guy on here that makes the MPFI conversion.....sometimes the easiest way you have to spend alittle money. Not saying you cant do it but it's definitely worth spending the money for a plug n' play

thanks man. i'd like to find a kit that has it all.. instead of trying to piece together different harnesses and buy stuff i don't need.

it's just funny that my jumper harnesses are going to be more expensive than the entire engine i bought. wtf!?

Yeah dude that's so true..... .as far your parts, unless you find someone selling a OBD1 D series swap the only other way is to buy it piece by piece or go to a junkyard and find most of them.

Also keep in mind, all the ecu jumpers you see online require you to already have your car either converted to mpfi or be mpfi from factory for them to work. On mine I do all that work for you.

Just curious man how much you charge for something like that. I got a dpfi d15 that is about to be relieved of duty in favor of a b16a2. Roughly how much would you charge for a harness for a swap like this?

why not just put the dpfi manifold and dizzy on the b7 and re-wire the fan switch?? or do you really want to go obb1 mpfi for a b7??

I definitely want to go mpfi. I guess I could find a ecu from an si and keep it obd0 and mpfi. But I have everything for the B7, dizzy, injectors, mpfi, ecu.. all I need is the wiring harness. There's an odb1 compete un-cut harness on craigslist for $40. Should I pick that up and try to wire something myself?
Crx_si-r you are right. Your car has to be mpfi for those e-bay harnesses to work. I like the fact you put that into your product. That's definitely something I would be interested in. What would something like that cost me?

You can get the obd1 harness, but you won't be able to use it. You would only be able to use the plugs not the actual harness itself.

i've got a complete running B1 with all obd0 parts on it, but thanks for the dizzy offer, purovalluco01.

so if i get a complete obd1 harness, i can cut the plugs off i need and splice them on my obd0 harness? cause honestly this seems like the cheapest method. if i can get the schematics for each engine i think i can figure out which wire goes to where.

correct. you will only need the following plugs:
1. radiator fan switch
2. both distributor plugs
3. o2 sensor

thats all.

if your one of those people who is really **** about looks, you could swap out all your sensor plugs for the gray obd1 plugs.
