Default Put it back together and now...97 Civic DX won't start

Hello everyone,

We have a 97 Civic Coupe DX 5SPD with I/H/E.
I just completed the Y7/Y8 mini me. When I was doing it I also replaced the following:

Pistons and Rings with P2P
Timing Belt
All Acc. Belts
Rear Main Seal
Rod Bearings
Main Bearings
Head Gasket
Brand New Knock Sensor
AEM Tru Time Cam Gear
Fresh Hone for Cross Hatching.
ARP Head Studs
Clutch and Flywheel
All New Coolant Hoses
New Air Filter

Anyway, replaced a lot of stuff. Now the car won't start. I thought I had purchased a 5SPD OBDII P2P ECU. I found today that wasn't the case after attempting to start it and having no luck. I check the ECU code and it's for an A/T. FML. But, it should still start with the Y7 ECU. Just no VTEC. I have tried both the Y7 and Y8 dizzys with the Y7 P2E ECU. I am not getting spark. When I try to start it the speedo jumps all over the place. 80mph, 120mph, 30mph. I also get a clicking noise, like a relay going ape **** from the top right of the glove boxes. Also my CEL does not come on when I turn the key to ON.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks,

Kurtis

A mystery title is a no-no in tech forums.

Thread titles MUST summarize the tech problem so that members browsing titles can easily understand the problem without reading the post -- Title edited.

Does the fuel pump prime?

Is the G101 ground on the thermostat housing connected and tight?

Any blown fuses?

I knew it was a ground. I just couldn't remember which one. That was it. Still idles like crap but it will until I get the right ECU. Thanks.
