Default location of 4cyl. V-TEC solenoid

hi all, my CEL was tripped a few weeks ago, and i read on previous threads that it is either your oil level or your V-TEC solenoid that can be the cause. we just bought this 98 accord and the oil was a little low, so i changed it and the filter, reset the light and it hasnt come on since. but the other day, i was coming home from work and just started the car from it being out in the cold all day, and when i got to the first stoplight, it stalled out on me like i was driving a stick. it had a low idle and then stalled. it started right back up and i didnt have a problem with it since. could this stall be related to the P1259 code i received? should i look into the V-TEC solenoid? any help would be really appreciated, along with any possible pics or descriptions of where the V-TEC solenoid is would be awesome. thanks in advance.

Sounds like a different issue...of course check the oil.

did the CEL lit up again after you start the engine? try to scan it first and see if there's an error.

What engine do you have with your accord?

You can remove the VTEC solenoid off the head to clean some of the debris off the screen on the inside. To answer your question of location of the VTEC Solenoid, here it is:

Behind the head on the passenger side circled in blue:

You might as well replace these seals as they're prone to leaks:

thanks so much for the info fellas. i have an OBDII scanner, and when the CEL first popped, the code i read was P1259, this came on right after we took the car home from buying it off my gf's aunt. i checked the oil and it was pretty low. i put fresh oil in (castrol gtx 5w30) and reset the light. it hasnt come on since, but i get a weak idle when im at stop lights and it actually stalled on me once. it started right back up, but im trying to resolve this problem before my gf starts using it for work.

i have also read of a little screen in the throttle body becoming clogged which can cause this weak idle that doesnt produce a CEL. i believe that the CEL was based on the oil level being low, and the weak idle is being caused by a clogged throttle body. i will give the throttle body a good cleaning as well as the v-tec solenoid and report back on how it works out. thanks again.
