CT: '04 Forester XT, VF39, 5-speed, 111k, $9.5k OBO
Good Afternoon Folks,
Hope everybody is having a great year so far and those of you in the Northeast are enjoying the mild weather.

Both unfortunately and fortunately (elaboration to follow), I am putting up my 2004 Forester XT for sale. Within a week of purchasing the car, my realtor called me about a house that I am very interested in so I made an offer.
I do not have to sell the car. As a matter of fact, I do not want to sell the car, I love it. It does everything very well without a complaint. However, I would like to have the extra cash to do some work on the house.
Enough of my life story, on to the Toaster. Clean MA title. VIN is JF1SG69624G767835. She's typical PSM with gray cloth interior. No sunroof. 5-speed that shifts very well with no grinding or any other quirks. Clutch is still healthy and grabs just fine, love the hill-hold feature!
She has just over 111k miles the majority of which were accrued by a responsible, middle-aged woman who kept up on regular oil changes, brake pads etc. Full disclosure: the timing belt has not been changed to the best of my knowledge (I called the dealer to see).
The body is in good shape but by no means perfect and indicative of the mileage. Paint is good with the expected share of small dings, nicks and chips of daily-driving wear-and-tear in New England. Pictures to follow of any outstanding blemishes.
The car has a VF39 turbo from an '05 STI and an OE '07 STI radio that plays MP3 CDs and includes an AUX input jack for iWhatever connection (uninstalled but included with sale). Otherwise, I did not even debadge it or remove the airbox resonator haha!
The VF39 turbo was installed because the stock TD04 started making the telltale sounds of death. So before it actually happened, I swapped in the VF39 and removed the filter screens from the turbo oil feed and AVCS lines that cause the problem in the first place.
At the same time, I installed two brand new cam position sensors and did a fresh oil change with Shell Rotella T6 full synthetic and a Purolator PureONE filter. I was skeptical of all the hype, but I could swear the car actually idles more quietly and runs smoother!
The car is located in southwestern CT, 06824, roughly one hour NYC. I am relatively flexible to show it. My asking price is $9,500 OBO which means I am expecting to do some negotiating within reason, please be respectful of my time and your own.
Just to reassure everyone that I am on the level and honest in my intentions, please refer to the thread below as a reference to my character and thoroughness. I am a staunch advocate of the Golden Rule and expect the same of others.

I forget how much I like this car every time I take her out to stretch her legs a little. I am almost convinced to keep her for the long haul and put a few house renovations on hold.

Cars I might trade for with added cash (mileage doesn't really matter to me if they're clean)...

Having serious withdrawals from selling my bike, so even though I prefer a cash sale, I might very well trade for an '06-07 GSX-R600 or '07-08 CBR 600RR plus cash.
