My dad has an STD!!
So this is my first major build on a car but I've had a few Hondas now, but this one is my dads. I bought it for him for fathers day in 2009 it was a pretty clean (although dirty) car when we got it with no rust and the only body damage being on the passenger fender and bumper filler.

It sat stock for awhile but my dad got a few strut bars then the bug really bit him and he opted for blox rear lcas, rear camber kit, and skunk2 sport shocks and coilovers we also added a front sway bar... A rear disc brake swap was soon to follow with new bushings calipers and slotted rotors..

he ordered some drag dr-9s in white and a new hood bumper filler and pwjdm fenders

And now that it could stop we tried getting it to go by doing the mpfi swap... All parts including wiring supplies added to about $50 thanks to pick n pull.. Then an si tranny was sourced and installed...

Those added a little more power and a slightly torquier powerband it still wasn't enough... So about 4 months ago my dad made the drive to Seattle to buy a 91 si with a b16 swap with type r pistons and gsr cams less than 10k on the rebuild..

He also stole the leather seats out of the si..

He started ordering parts and so far we've got about everything including new distributor, eg half rad, innovative traction bar and motor mounts, skunk2 IM and throttle body, gates t belt, and more..

The tranny was shot so we got a fresh rebuilt one with ls 5th gear were currently waiting on that so we can get the motor in place and mock up the radiator and wire tuck.. but the bay is almost ready for paint

it'll be yellow to match the valve cover

we should have the transmission back monday and hopefully start mocking it up next week

We actually dropped the d15 and old suspension parts seats etc into the shell traded the body kit for stock bumpers and sold it to one of my friends

And thanks for the props guys
I'm excited to get it going but I have a few questions
Has anybody ran a half radiator and the innovative traction bar? Does it have any clearance issues?
And what do people do for overflow tanks? I want to tuck it out of the way but idk where.

I am using the full race radiatior. If your going with the innovative competition bar your going to want these brackets for the bar.

In order to fit the EG rad like stock some of the webbing will need to be cut out as well.
Build looks good.

So a few small updates on the build
We laid down the final layer of primer tonight and are ready for paint but were waiting to mock the motor in place first.. But we painted the intake manifold black and primed the JDM spoiler that came with the parts car

And here's the NOS coolant overflow tank

That's awesome, wish I could get my dad into the Honda scene. Build looks great. Question about the IM. You just got the normal metal finish one and painted it black, correct? I'm getting the S2 pro intake manifold for my h22 build, but they only make them in metal finish, and I want a black one, yours looks like it actually turned out really good.
The intake is painted black.. It's low glass engine enamel and it turned out really good actually.. I wanted the black series one but we got this one on Craigslist for $120 and it looks like it had maybe 1000 miles on it..
On the bottom? Some traction bar companies sell a kit, either a clamp on deal or weld on. U can get creative to and fab something up. Its pretty straight forward when u get it in there. Coming together nicely btw.
