Default Painting a waste gate?

I don't know if this post belongs in here or in paint and appearance. I want to paint the top of my turbonetics waste gate. Its getting corroded. Will high temp paint work ok? Or would powder coating be better?

The bottom portion of the wastegate would probably be ok with high temp paint, but the top concerns me a little. its aluminum and is supposed to release heat. If you put a coating on it that retains more heat inside the wastegate, you could melt the rubber diaphragm inside. I dont know what the heat limits of it are, but I would find out before doing anything. I'd hate to see you wreck something...
