I know the color scheme of the white on most acuras run on "Taffeta White", but that is only from years 1999-2002. Does anyone know what the white was called before that? The reason i want to know is i need to paint my body kit, and i need the name to get the color scheme.

 

I believe it was Frost White. I think that the 94-97 models were the Frost White. Still Check the paint code on the door with the stealership or online somewhere. I have a 98 and it is taffeta white, but it has some years on it and kinda looks ITR Championship White from some angles. Hope this helps

 

My '97 LS is "Frost White"

 

tafetta white came out u are correct i believe in 99 or 2000...my 98 is frost white, but i think starting either 99 or 2k they made taffetta white instead.

 

Frost White is a Bright White color where as Taffeta White is a Creamier thicker white.

frost white is an ls color for like 97 or 98 and newer. Taffeta white is a gsr color for only 99-01

Thanks for the imput guys, I wasnt too sure about the color. i assumed taffeta since mine was faded, probably due to a thousand pounds of birdshit. man it needs a respray...hmmm.....time for some championship white?......my bad, im babbling

IMO, the Frost White color looks like cheap paint because it looks too thin.

Taffeta White is creamier and thicker, and looks much better!
