Default question about engine swap

im considering buying a 4th gen sedan w/ a smoking motor. in order to place a 6th gen EX motor in it, i could change only the engine, right? of course i'd have to do some wiring adjustments, but other than wiring, what would need to be changed?

Wiring: Other than VTEC, you need to use your old distributor (Si only) and the original fuel injectors (also Si only) Considering you keep it at OBD-0

You have to use a 4g tranny (bolts up just fine). And also swap the entire drivers side motor mount from the original motor to the 6g motor.

I think that's all...

What model sedan are you looking at? If it is a dx/lx you will need to do an MPFI conversion...do a search you will find tons of info...more than I can give you here. As for Vtec here are the options:

a) convert to OBD1...run OBD1 injectors and distributor....buy an OBD1 conversion ecu harness and run the P28 ecu

b) stay with OBD0 and use the OBD0 distributor and injectors and activate Vtec with a switch seup

c) Find someone who makes a OBD0-OBD2 conversion harness and run the motor with all the OB2 electronics and ecu

i'd most likely go with option 1, use a p28, find a 92-95 EX or Si motor, maybe a 1st gen b16 if i can find one for relatively cheap from a friend of a friend.

which models shoud i look for to insure that it'll be mpfi? im looking to make this as stressless as possible
