**2003~2004 S2200** (Also posted in S2000 forum) Though R guys might also be interested!
"Powered by a high-revving, four-cylinder 250bhp 2.2-litre engine, the car will rival the likes of Mazda's RX-8 and the new Nissan 350Z. Speed and driveability are top of the list of priorities for Honda's top brass. And as a result, torque output will be impressive, with early indications suggesting the coupé will offer at least 235Nm." - http://www.autoexpress.com <http://www.autoexpress.com>

This article and all subsequent articles claiming the same thing, ARE A HOAX!
ya the stuff that i posted is real. i think jerrypeterson thinks this is the s2000r artical that was floating around on the s2ki site that came out to being someone just sterring things up.
I have contact at North America Honda Corporate, and this is a flat out HOAX. I am not mistaken that this is the S2000R hoax, that was started by a 2nd year Engineering student and linked to by half the known world.
The two magazines that have printed this story are notorious for posting very poor speculation of the silliest nature. Do you believe what your read in the Enquirer or the Weekly World news? To quote their caliber of magazine as sources is what you are doing.
Get real and stop wasting your time on this.
If you'd like to reference the caliber of information I've acquired in the past: I was the first person in the US to release the news on the changes for the MY2003 S2000's to the Internet. Don't believe me? Do some research.

Silly boy, who do you think posted the info to S2ki.com? Like I said, do your research. I beat the magazine releases by four weeks(plus two months time to market) and the press release by three months.
Believe your magazine(s) all you want, it doesn't change the out come. Just do everyone else a favor and stop spreading untruths to the rest of the community.

If you did get that info off S2ki.com then you would already know who posted the news/started the orginal thread. --->JerryPeterson<--- Feel free to ask around, I provide accurate information and I am a moderator on that board.
If I understand your post correctly, you assume to know a great many things about someone you've never met. In addition, when faced with an supported arguement you attempt to plead your case by getting personal.
But since you asked:
I hope Honda sells as many S2000's as possible. Why? Even more owners could join our club events and enjoy a very special automobile among friends. I bought a MY2000 S2000 because after my research it appeared to be a very capable and resonably-priced car for track/autox use. And that's what I use it for, nearly every weekend.
Since you are a self-described instructor come on down to Spokane Raceway next weekend (October 19th & 20th) to provide me a lesson. We'll be filming our next race video, and maybe you can show us how its done.

See title of thread. You are already wrong. 2005 is the next major revision and the 2003's have hit the street.
What's happening in 2005? Even if I knew, do you think I could advertise it?
Since you are on your way to a career of speculation, allow me to speculate the most likely scenario to source this article:
The performance numbers first of all don't add up, they are actually a quote of wheel horsepower... Wait! This car exists? 2.2liter? Yes, there were three built, but only two are still running. Hmm. They are the pet project of a couple engineers at -->Mugen<--, Japan. The cars are running a "one-off" stroker kit that was made in house. A side effect was a lowered redline etc. Coupe? Pure BS. Some joker must have erroniously thought the -->Mugen<-- hardtop on this same car was Honda craftwork.
Another JDM tuner started retailing a 2.3l stroker kit a few months ago.
BTW - The Stock MY2000 JDM S2000 is rated at 247 flywheel hp.
Point being, we all know these photos are fake and the rumor comes from an unreliable source. So unreliable, they quote dyno numbers on a car they didn't dyno. A car they supposedly shot spy photos of. These spy photos all have the rear wiper in different locations and various other inconsistencies like floating locations for the tow hook. If you have to shoot spy photos of a car, how the hell did you first hand driver's feedback on it? How can you talk about the drivability? Do you honestly think they received a first hand account of the car's drivability from an inside source? That's rich. Can you actually name someone who has succeeded in sneaking onto Honda property and leaking news to the press? It hasn't happened.
For the sake of all things "common sense" think about it. NOTHING adds up. This is a flat out UNSUBSTANTIATED RUMOR.
On the other hand, its entirely fair to wait and see.
Are you saying I should bother posting an "I told you so" 7 months from now when we receive news on the MY2004's? Why bother? Again, its not personal for me.

I like the hardtop but making it aa 2.2 and only gaining 10 hp ruines it for me i like the fact that it made 110 hp per litre. I thought it would atleast get 260 that would be phat. and those rims are horrible.
