Default DOHC ZC Issue

so on my dohc zc my old dizzy was put on retarted on my car and the timing was way different than what it shoud have been..so when i finally replaced it to a new one my car started driving weird
at about 3000 rpms it wont gain power until about 3600 rpms
i took it to a shop by my house and they checked it out and said that there were b16 cams in it
im not sure if this would cause anything
if anyone knows anything let me know
any info is well appreciated
and i have a set of pm7 cams in my garage i think if those are the right ones ill just throw them on
but info is well appreciated thanks

Only God knows why someone put B16 cams in it, replace them with your PM7 cams. Those are the correct ones. And did you make sure you used a timing light when adjusting the ignition timing? Also if your other dizzy really was set way off it could've ruined your spark plugs. Detonation is a bad bad boy.

"help!!!!!" IS NOT a suitable title for a thread. When you read the rules of the forum which we all know everyone does, but I will remind you, it says be specific in your TITLE for a new thread. Hence why your thread title was changed.

uuummmm.....don't know you'd have to write them down and put them up here, I do know on mine it says "E" for exhaust and "I" for intake. What you saw also may have been some stamp that's irrelivant.

The integra ecu works but its not better ..if u can get a hold of a legit Zc ecu it'll work better or the ecu of a older integra 87-89 ..because with the ls ecu since Its a bigger engine ur air/fuel is set differently ..and as the b16 cams did u mean cam gears.?. or cam shafts.?.

Man, you need to get yourself a PM7, PM6 or PG7 ECU....the PM7 ECU is for the JDM ZC, the PM6 is from a EF Si and it'll run it, it just might run rich....I read someone saying they used it and the exhaust fumes were kindda fierce at times. And the PG7 was from the American version of the ZC, the D16A9 or A8 can't remember right off the top of my head. I bet you run rich and a little funny with that LS ECU don't you?

The B18 ECU is causing a lot of problems for you. Seek out a PM7 (it's a rare one but jump on it when you can because it's the ECU that the JDM ZC ran on) or find a Si PM6 and get it reprogramed for the DOHC ZC or get a PG7. I've seen Advance sell the PM6and PG7 but it's a pretty penny for just a referbished ECU. I think it was like 300 something dollars......but you should be able to find a PM6 for a reasonable price on Ebay or Craigslist.

PM6 is for d16a6... I use it on my SOHC (non-vtec) ZC, works fine. Probably a little rich but my MPG's are fine - like 26-28 all day with spirited driving... not sure how it'll work on a DOHC though.

It'll run lean on a DOHC and smell bad at times.....and you were only getting 26-28 mph's??? Were you in a EG?

Nope, it's in my ef, again it's SOHC non-vtec.

I do decent amount of city driving sadly, there's a good mile or two of stop signs completely surrounding my house. Also I push the damn thing hard 24/7.

I've heard of people getting 35mpg, but god knows how. I have an si tranny mated up to it too.

I'd bust my ***** to find a PG7 if you aren't in too much of a hurry. Supposedly they are cheap but if you can't find any then obviously that's true for your case.
