F22b1 into a 6th gen?
Hi guys. I've dabbled in engine and tranny swaps for a couple years now just getting ideas on what I would do if I had the money and time, so I kinda have some idea on my question but I need some reassurance here. I'm selling a F22b1 out of an automatic 97 Accord. The guy wanting to buy it would like to put the whole engine or maybe just the tranny into his 2000 Accord. Is it possible to just drop n go or is he going to need to do something to the wiring if he uses the whole engine? I have searched and I cannot seem to find the exact info on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
It'll drop in no problem. But, he'll have to transfer his F23Ax(old) intake mani over to the F22B1 due to the 3-wire IACV. Good thing that the B1 is an OBD2, so CKP on the oil pump housing is out of the way. Now, he'll need to run the factory F22B1 ECU from your car but he can't due to immobilizer. So I guess, he'll have to stick to the F23Ax ECU. I mean, it'll run and everything but just not the right ECU.
The question I have is, will the F22B1 plug and play into the F23A1 harness.... Hope the connectors aren't different.
