What's the best flywheel I should use
Ok I have a 97 sol with a jdm b18b with a LSD gsr tranny. I'm wondering what flywheel I should use. Right now it has an ls one. Next question is did the del sol s come with rear disc brakes and a third brake light spoilers? Also what are good modifications (somewhat cheap) for my b18b ? Thanks ifyou guys can enlighten me about my del sol. I don't snow much about them at all!
I would also vote for sticking to stock. As far as mods, set a budget and let us know how much you want to spend. You could go with some bolt ons (intake, header, exhaust) or go a little more in depth (cams, intake manifold, throttle body, etc)
Si's and VTEC's came with rear disk brakes. As far as I know, the only 3rd light is the one above the rear window. Of course, there may be some aftermarket wings, with lights built in.

Omwell it has spoiler with a brake light and rear disc but it's a del sol s on the title so i was confused. And what the he'll is thatred switch in my center console for
Hondas didn't come with any red switches. The previous owner probably installed nitrous on the car. Worst case...its just a dummy switch. Find where it's wired into.
Surprised at some of the responces in this thread.....
Lightened flyheels on Honda's are one of my very favorite mods.I have done so many over the years with amazing results, no downsides except it's a bit easier to stall in 1st from a start if you don't rev it a bit to get going, but no biggie.
Throttle response is awesome and fun.
As for what make, go brand name

Improved throttle response on a slow car is still only improved throttle response on a slow car. Not to mention the OP needing it to be "cheap", what ever that means..
im doing a clutch and flywheel upgrade on my civic next week and i purchased an exedy stage 1 clutch kit and an exepy hf01 9.5lb flywheel. i will let you know what i think about the lightened flywheel after i do the work.
Lol I doubt that switch was for nos. Since it had a d series before I bought it. But it's def stock. Other sols have a spot for the switch but no switch
that switch was done by the previous owner. honda never put a switch there. in any del sol.
so its either for nos, a dummy switch, or just a dumb switch. take the center console off and look at where it goes...which is probably nowhere.
any brand name flywheel should work fine btw.

Some people flip out when they hear "OMG 7.5LB FLYWHEEL THAT'S SO LIGHT"
And it's not really, I've daily driven mine for half a decade and it has been a lot of fun driving around even with my 70whp 200,000+ mile D-series.
Here's some more knowledge for you then.

And I've quite enjoyed my lightened flywheel, it makes rev-matching shifts effortless. Until you've had one for a long time, I don't think you can appreciate one.

alot of people forget or just never knew there was a vtec version just assume the SI is.
vtec was the b16 del sol. i've only ever seen 3 of them in my life.
