The internet.

More seriously, I just bought a B18B from jdmenginescorp.com and it was SUUUUPER clean. I got it for a 98 integra GS that I recently bought with a blown motor.

I bought a ITR 4.78 FD trans from them and a JDM ITR 5 lug and JDM ITR shift linkage also for different cars. Stuff always gets there fast and it's always really clean.

I've bought engines from HMO before and I have to say that this jdmenginescorp place has stuff that's about as clean. You have to call for better pricing and it's cheaper to have it shipped to a commercial address. IDK...I like em. I buy a lot of stuff since I work on TONS of cars and they seem to cater to me pretty well. I'm a pretty specific *** guy.

Oh Okay. I'm pretty sure that's where my buddy got his engine. I'll have to call him and ask him sooner or later to make sure. His engine was clean and hasn't had any problems as far as I'm concerned. Their price isn't bad...

I would seriously consider a H2B swap before buying a used B series.

All depends on what you want to do I suppose.

Check eBay seller naganojapanesse or something like that. He list full swaps cheap and includes compression videos for each motor your getting and what you see is what you get. Also answers questions quickly.

The simplicity and durability of the B series can't be beat by the H22. The H22 makes more power, but requires special mounts and other measures to go into a civic chassis. H series reliability/durability isn't quite what I'd want either.

I wouldn't waste $$ on a B16A, though, personally. Save up a few hundred more and buy a blacktop B18C atleast.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. But isn't the b16a head on one of the b18 blocks from the factory. I know alot of people use the b16a head on b18 block. So y not buy a b16 and then done the line switch the block out.

not from the factory.

some people take a b18 block usually the LS or the B20 and put a b16 head on it for a LS/Vtec and a B20/vtec

I just bought my jdm b18c type r swap from zerolift.com Robert was great and my motor was here within a week. The motor pulls hard and shipped very well. Just another place you should try that I recommend.
