95 LX - shudder when under load at idle
Buying a 95 Accord lx with non-vtec engine.
It idles ok, but when the rear defrost, AC, power steering, or any other heavy mechanical/electrical load is placed on the engine, it will drop in RPM and shudder pretty badly.
It does have a bad engine mount, but I'm more concerned about the drop in rpm. I think if I clean the TB out, and the IAC, would be a good start, then move to plugs/wires, and maybe timing belt, since it needs it anyway...
It has 162k on it, and it's never had basic maint done to it...but I'm getting it for cheeeaaapp....
any insight would be great...I just want to see what I'm in for...I also work at a dealer, but I don't always trust a tech first hand...lol
