Default Bright 1156 led bulbs?

Hey guys I need some bright led bulbs in 1156 size.

They are for the factory aux lights on a del sol.

Which do you guys recommend? They turn on when headlights are on.

EDM glass aux actually do something

also get some JDM/edm(i believe) lower fogs as well

A good idea except for a few issues:
1) That isn't legal in the US. Too many lamps up front.
2) Those lower fog lamps are too low to provide any useful light.

OP, retrofit a set of blazer fog lamps into the stock aux lamp housings. Good output, clean cutoff, HID capable without glare.

well idk about your first statement... alot of cars have three sets of lights in the front that come stock from the factory....

That's 4 lamps total now.

A car is allowed:
headlamps
highbeam lamps, if separate from the mains
marker lamps
supplementary lamps

That Del Sol has 2 sets of supplementary lamps, which is why it is illegal. The corner lamps are the front marker lamps, and I'm guessing those are what you're forgetting to count.

it's listed under back up light but you can use it in the aux for the del sol

TunerN00b, I was under the impression that only 2 sets of lights can be turned on? So even though that particular del Sol has the aux lamps and fog lamps, as long as only one of those is turned on with the head lamps it's OK?

I disagree with your statement about those fog lamps being too low to be useful. I've had foglights that low before that, when aimed properly, can provide enough light that I could get by with them should my headlights ever burn out.

Mostly correct. 3 sets of lamps can be turned on. A pair of primary lamps, a pair of supplemental lamps (fog or additional headlamps), and a pair of marker lamps. 2 sets have to be on at night, the primaries and markers.

So, yes, as long as only 1 of the 2 sets of the additional lamps are on it would be legal. But, if you're only going to use one set, why add more lamps that low in the bumper instead of replacing the set it came with?

And I stand behind saying they're too low. Lamps that low, aimed at the legal angle, would only project light 15', at most, in front of the car. Now, if they are incorrectly aimed higher (such as aimed level), then they could, but would also pose a glare issue.

Well for me, the only ones that put out useful light were Stanleys and Depos for 94-97 Integras and 92-95 Civics, respectively.

Universal fog lamps (Piaa, Pilot, etc.) I noticed just plain sucked at any height.

if you want some bright reverse 1156 led's get these...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-White-115...ht_3001wt_1070

have had them for over 6 months in my ej1 and haven't had a problem with them. i have spent hundreds on led's and trust me when i say that these things are insanely bright. i LOVE them!! they aren't meant to stay on for a prolong time but your car is only put in reverse seconds at a time..
