Since the 1.8L motors on the 06-11 and '12 seem to be the same, how does this motor perform with a manual transmission? Obviously they won't set the world on fire, but are they otherwise capable 0-60 under 9 second cars?

Recommending a '12 5-speed LX Sedan to a friend and having never driven that particular combination, I want to make sure they aren't complete dogs. I don't think it'll be modded, but he was curious how well they respond to an intake.

 

it runs ok. there are a few of others including myself that have a faulty second gear (grinding/popping out) mine is actually completely out. =/

 

0-60 in under 9 seconds i dont see doable as stock they run 16.8 @ 86-89 mph 1/4 so idk..
