1998 Honda Accord
hey guys so i am kinda new to this accord game lol i have had civics in the past and i have a 98 accord with the f23a and was just wondering if you had recommendations on what i could do to add a little more performance and also i am going to the show car side of things with this car i have had all kinds of fast cars and just thinking about chilling out with this and making it really nice. thanks for any advice you may have thanks, David
Lol intake, exhaust and headers are kinda newby thing I am thinkin what kind of turbo maybe how many pounds would be safe for now or if a supercharger would be a better option I'm just trying to figure out what "safe" would be psi wise? Any suggestions?

... First I/E/H is not really "noob" as it does help with what you asked originally as a "little more performance". If you were planning to boost, people say 5-8psi for reliability and would probably be considered safe, to be even safer though is the proper tuning.
The quickest way to find what you're looking for is going to be to search. I know that's not what people want to hear but honestly there is a TON of info regarding F-series boosting on this site. Posting it over and over again just gets a little old.
Btw, keep in mind psi does not kill motors/trannys, horsepower and torque do. People have made 250whp pretty easily and reliably on a stock motor. 300whp is attainable as well, though you are starting to get a little risky for the long run. You'll definitely want a stronger clutch regardless.
The motor and tranny are pretty stout in these cars as long as you take care of them. Word is finally getting around about the F-series having nice potential.

i understand the search option i was just trying to find others opinions, i have been around H series B series and K series. I have also been around boost a long time and also with the whole H/E/I thing i mean think about it if i end up boosted why would i want headers?? i would want a turbo mani and intake set up will be different as well at the exhaust. i figured as cheap as parts are and the performance i will be getting with 5psi is not much performance i would say if you transfer psi to HP then you would be getting about 5hp per lbs. so 25hp isnt to much of a gain. i have been boosting cars to 30+ psi so that is a huge performance gain. i was just asking opinions from people who have worked with this series of motor. for the advice i have gotten thank you and please continue to let me know what you have as far as this motor goes. I am planning on building the engine with low compression so i can then get higher boost flowing to this car and as far a tq goes with this car i dunno what it would be im sure it wont be anything close to what i want but its just a fun little project im doing on the side and possibly get it so show condition thank you and please let me know any info/opinions you have on this motor.

I'd narrow down your goals if you can, as I think you'll get more specific help that way.
You originally posted that you just wanted a little performance, but now you're talking about semi-building the motor. See where it can get confusing?
We already know you want more of a show car, so throw out a power range you'd like to aim for. Good luck with your build!
