Stock steering wheel re-installation?

Currently have a non-srs steering wheel on the car right now. How do I install the stock wheel without having the airbag blow up in my face?

Can I just disconnect the negative off the battery?

take neg batt terminal off and just to be on safe side, the SRS fuse

yup, disconnect bat. and be carefuly when connecting it back..
