Default who wants to borrow j's intake for dyno run in bay area?

I finally got my j's intake in today. woohoo . But yesterday I found out that my engine wont be done till end of next week. suckkiii

In regards to the posts here recently:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=294209
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=299857

I figure at least someone should have some fun with this thing, instead of it just sitting in my garage.
there are alot of people on the board, as well as myself who want to see the dyno results of the intake vs the others

Hopefully some here has been meaning to go to the dyno to get their car tuned or whatever. They should have the comptech icebox, but the aem would be a good comparo too. They should also hopefully have some other stuff done and be making some decent whp. but stock will be cool too

email and we can arrange a time to meet up so I can let you have the intake

I would need the intake back by
Friday the 18th of october. it could be later, but most likely it wont be sooner

shoot me an email or what ever!

i got it from ips,
o yeah mike btw, got the rest of the stuff today. thanks

maybe mike might donate to the dyno run foundation

We CANT do it at dyno spot, because time I take away from lawrence, means time that will be taken away from getting my engine finished

but there are alot of the dynos around the bay too!

As soon as I can get one in and can keep it for a few days I will test one out myself.

Comparison to stock would be helpful as well...

I'm glad the J's will be dynoed... hopefully against AEM, icebox, stock, at least.

I can just see the dyno graphs causing some serious arguing and flaming.... But, i guess it is better than no dyno at all. I'm really looking forward to this, if it happens!!

1107 - who continues is personal crusade against comparing intakes on a dyno...

Aem vs. J's vs Icebox would be great, three styles, and all the "best" of their class

all you need after that is for a certain someone on H-T (which is local) to come test the mugen intake vs. icebox and J's, etc...

There had better be a stock box/resonator as a baseline, or what are we really going to learn from a j's/aem/icebox comparo?? I've got my stock air box setup, but i'm in chicago. No help to you guys out there.

When are you going down to DSR on Fri? I'd like to see how your car does.

I'm a newbie to the board--I've just acquired a '97 ITR and I was just thinking of putting it on the dyno. I was actually just about to call up Dynospot (I was down there earlier and Chad was working on the ignition for me.) to arrange an appointment for a dyno run.

I am willing to donate my car for the dyno pulls to see what kind of power it's making. It's totally stock and since the three runs would otherwise be the same, I think it would be neat to see what kind of gains would come from the J's intake.
I will also pay for half of the dyno $$. To satisfy those who want to know exactly how much the J's intake makes, I ask they chip in for the other half--maybe $10/each. Anyway, I'm going to call up DSR to see when they have time.
W

What do you all think?

BTW, I'm coming from the South Bay.

Eddie Jeng.

Glad to have you aboard...sounds like you're from the South Bay, I'll be at DynoSpot on Friday after 3pm...it's a long drive for me to get down there.

boonielander - Welcome to the board. You should have your own thread to introduce yourself and post pics of your car when you can.

Back on topic - Are we finally gonna see some dyno results from the J's? It would be cool to have the other intakes there to test as well.

I'm in Bay Area. I am willing to do a couple of runs on the dyno. The car has an AEM, stock header, and type-one catback. I have VAFC as well. So if you still need someone to do tests I am willing. This is a 2001 R with 15000 miles. We can do the stock intake first, then the aem, then j's racing. Whatever you guys want, I have been meaning to get this sucka dynoed anyway. And I have also been curious about the j's intake. It's time to get some numbers up.

Austin,
Maybe I can drop by and meet you and some other ITR guys on Friday.
I did see a CW ITR with spoon calipers and a JDM front end at DSR last week--is that yours?

Eddie.
