All sedans had power steering... look around under the hood (unless someone converted it to manual - I doubt it). If they did, then I am SURE you could find an "enthusiast" that would want to trade you!

You can pull the parts off of any '88-91 Civic.

dx sedan models did not receive power steering.

o/p your best bet is to stick w sedan parts, although everything is interchangeable.

you will need the rear sub frame, the power steering rack, new inner and outer tie rods (why not? they are a wear item after all), the hard lines, pump, reservoir, p/s cooler, power steering mounting bracket, and the crank pulley for the swap.

i personally wouldn't do it, those that have swapped to power steering hated it and swapped back to a manual rack

Interesting - I have seen hundreds of sedan DX's and have never once seen one without power steering from the factory. Power steering must have been optional?

Or you could lift some weights so it's easy for you to turn it jk jk go to junkyard for the brackets and such. Then go to a parts store and spend a bunch of money on power steering stuff.

I hope you're not implying that having a car with power steering would somehow put less stress on the mechanical components.

Anything that is easier for you is harder for the mechanical components.
