98 d16y8. V-tec solenoid issue?
I have a 98 acura EL (d16y8)
The car is pretty much stock except for an intake and new headers i installed recently.
The past few days I've been getting a flashing CEL and i noticed today that it comes on when v-tec engages. Once it's flashing, i no longer have v-tec... but when i turn the engine off and restart the car the CEL stops flashing (it stays on permanently due an O2 sensor).
I'm going to get it checked to see what code comes up but in the meantime was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue and if its probable that im going to have to change the solenoid or if there is a chance i can fix it myself..?
