ran 17.79 in the 1/4 wats up
Hey i have a 96 civic DX coupe. I used my friends Gtech a few nights ago and i ran a 17.79 it said. I dont know wtf is up that is an awful time. My freind said that i was prob pullin like 2.8 60 footers cuz my whells were hopping like crazy. What can i do to help the launch and is there anything else that may be wrong? please help that is alot slower than i had anticipated. My car has 16" enkeis on low pros It has msd distributor caps msd blaster coils. Iceman CAI, Thermal Stealth Cat Back Exhaust, and a b&m fpr, i have a wings west aggresor front bumper and two 12" subs in box in the trunk no rear seat and no spare tire plus another 200lb kid in the car.

i am surprised that it ran so shitty stock its supposed to run a 16.8 wtf is it one second slower with some mods also how should i launch? to get better 60 footers
Well since GTECH doesn't measure 60' your really going to have a hard time telling now aren't you?

take a ride in a fast car you'll realize how slow civics really are. when i took the turbo off, then put it back on it was like my car was reborn again.

dude....why are you trying to race a DX civic coupe with a STOCK motor...you'll never see good times with your car with that motor.
go GS-R or H22...**** even a b18b would be better than stock...

get Nitrous, a 40 shot leave your timing at stock, get a fuel filter and a good oil change, replace the plugs run some premium and enjoy the ride, I keep up with a gsr swap, but it wont last forever,
or find a vtec head and do the mini me!

im not sure that either will "kick"you in your pants..
but I would say NO2 would pretty much be ur only viable option to do it cheaply. Otherwise u'll spend TONS on boltons just to keep up with stock EX's, maybe MAYBE si coupes depending on how many boltons u have.

hey adub why do u say **** like that whats the point? did i once mention that since i got a front bumper i should be faster or whatever. I by no means am at all like that i dont have any stickers on my car nothing like that. Also yes i believe in looks and system before performance and if some of you disagree thats fine it doesnt bother me its my personal choice. I was just lookin for some advice thanks.
