Integra Type R Armrest with badge, whats it worth?
Hi everyone, this is my first post, several years ago I bought my friends Type R Armrest with the badge from him after his car was stolen. My wife and I were cleaning out the garage yesterday when I came back across the arm rest in a box with and few other things. I was thinking about rebuilding a Type R but that was several years ago, so I'm thinking about selling it. Its in good condition and the badge is clear and not discolored or scratched its 01-1354. I have no idea what its worth, I know their rare but and ideas would be great.
Thanks everyone

The arm rest itself isn't so much rare, honda still makes it. I'm surprised the owner sold you the badge plate though, i wouldn't have; and why would you buy it anyway? The arm rest in good condition maybe worth $120, depending on condition. They go brand new for $140 from Honda.
If he's talking about the arm rest with the badge number plate, a brand new one just sold in the FS thread for $115, not including a badge. I don't know why any R owner would want to have a badge number in their R that isn't there own.
Some people keep their armrest/badge safe in the house and rock anotheR in case of theft or smash and grab. That's the case with 309 for me.
Is this 00-1354 instead of 01-1354?

I was just about to say to get ahold of you. Im sure if the car is on the road, the owner will be very much wanting to get the plate back.
sorry, so you guys think the badge is worth 120? My friend sold it to me cause his car was stolen and it that was final draw, and knew he was done with Honda's.
If you get 100 for the arm rest be happy, the badge is worth what ever some one will pay for it. If the car was stolen and went to auction its probably back on the streets, i'm sure the current owner would give u a couple bucks for it just to have it back in the original car. Unfortunately, the chances of finding the owner are slim to none. Put it up for sale, you never know you may be surprised.
ok thanks, Like I said before in my first post the badge is from my friends Type R that was stolen several years ago, thats when I bought it from him, so the badge is from my friend the owner of the car. I didn't buy it from some random.
The moral thing to do would be to attempt to find out if the vehicle is still on the road and locate the ower, and send him it. Thats what I would do if i had someones badge, I'd want the same done for me.
I understand that, but what Im saying is if he still has the car give it back to him, and if not I would attempt to locate the new owner and send it to him or her. Just because the car is stolen doesn't mean that it cant be rebuilt and put back on the road again. That may be the last piece of the puzzle that they are needing.
If you already know the badge number, just order a new blank and have it stamped with that number. The inferred importance of the "Type R" console badge borders on the ridiculous. Honda never even kept any records of these console number plates. To each their own I guess.

Who can stamp it ? I just bought a new badge for my R
When my friends Type R was stolen it was never recovered. So when I was over he was cleaning out his garage and selling off extra parts, the armrest with the badge plate and # on it I bought from him. So I have no clue where his car is, it was stolen over 5 years ago and never recovered.I just came on here to see what you guys think its worth since I have no use for it and the car was never recovered so who knows where it is and I'm not going to try and find a car that was stolen 5 years ago.
Thanks guys for your in put. I'm not trying to cause trouble or make anyone upset.

Like others said the armrest can be bought new from honda, the badge is only really worth something to a new owner who wants to match the badge to his car, say if it is rebuilt etc.
By the way how does the badge attach to the armrest?

don't sell it on craigslist. At the very least just keep it and maybe the owner will pop up on here. I'd buy it from you just to keep it listed in the fs section under "free to owner"
speaking of craigslist, just saw 98-0804's badge pop up in portland, OR.

Current owner is in NC though?
