Default Correct lug nuts for OEM?

I just got a set of wheels off an '01 or '02 accord. The lug nuts I have look like crap and I was wanting to get a decent set somewhere, however if I understand right I need ball seat lug nuts and hardly anybody seems to sell them? my preference would be a whole set of spline drive nuts but if I can only get them with a conical seat that's obviously not going to work. Suggestions?
Is there some secret place to get them or am I missing something else, or what?

Factory Honda wheels utilize a Ball-seat lug nut. This is almost 100% Honda-specific, and requires special lug nuts that seat properly. Conical-seat lug nuts (most common aftermarket type) will not seat properly. I do not know if there are any aftermarket manufacturers of ball-seat lug nuts, however there is the alternatives of purchasing seat adapters (conical to ball-type), or the Black S2000 type lug nuts.

Acorn seat lug nuts are comparable to conical seat lug nuts. So, sadly, those will not work.

I got a set of bulge seat lugs that are spline drive from my local O'Reilly auto parts store. Only like $30 or something like that.

If I remember correctly from last time I swapped my wheels what I have on there is like this http://www.dormanproducts.com/p-10216-611-1381.aspx with the rubber washer on it. Is that just for use with wheel covers or would they still work ok (if not look as good as possible) on the alloy wheels also?

Hey,

So did you end up buying these? I have a question did you also have to pick up nylon washers for each of these? I am looking to get a set of aftermarket of lugs and I am trying to make sure I can find some that work with the OEM wheel/hubcaps of my 97 Civc.

Thanks!

Hi,

From what I found the lug nuts on most Hondas are 12mm x 1.50 and are ball seat type. I think if it works for your Accord then it is OK for my Civic. Thanks for the feedback.
