Hello all.
My cars anti theft alarm isn't working I can open the door however on ignition the alarm goes off. I have changed the batteries. Took the car off the car batteries believing it might reset the alarm no luck though. It did not have a stereo but the alarm was working. I checked the 7.5 amp fuses they are fine. Attached a pic of fob if helpful

This is not an OEM alarm? Why are you not contacting the alarm manufacturer or the place that installed it?

 

I bought it second hand the alarm was pre installed when I bought it

 

That's not OEM. At least not any OEM fob that I've ever seen.

 

It's hard to help you without knowing the type of alarm system and how it is wired into the car.

 

Have a reputable car audio shop remove and replace the system with a better alarm such as DEI products (Viper, Python, Clifford, Avital, etc.)

Sure. It comes out the same way it went in. If you don't know what you're doing then have a professional do it.

 

it was a aftermarket alarm and immobilizer, made by foxguard f18e, took about 15 minutes for that piece of crap to be taken out, now the car works like a breeze again!
