What's up everyone,

I'm pressing alone with my civic and had a question about the srs under the heater assmebly. Can I remove it plus all tye wires that connect to it since I'm currently using a non srs jdm steering wheel? Will removing it cause problems for the engine running the way it should or engine code on the ecu? ooo by the way I have a 1995 civic ex with b18c.

Leave it if you need to return it to stock later.

 

You can wire in a resistor and leave it, this allows you to keep the srs system active and use a aftermartket wheel and not have a SRS light.

 

Removing the SRS unit or any of the component will not effect the car performance.

 

Thanks everyone, I decided to remove it since it wasn't hooked up bc I have a jdm steering wheel. Glad it doesn't effect the motor running.

 

hate to bring up a dead thread did removing the srs unit turn the light on ? someone cut the cable reel to the steering wheel and i cant get my light off on my 92 civic hatch
