Rod Bearing cap question, experts only please
halfway through a rebuild of my 91 civic, d15b, and theres something that keeps eating at my brain. Installed new main and rod bearings this weekend and while installing the lower rod bearings/caps, I noticed when I was on my third one that the casting numbers on the bottom of the caps on the first two were facing a different direction than the one I was installing. I pulled the one off I was installing to double check that my tabs were lined up and they were. Installed it and the last one had the casting marks facing the same direction as the this one did, but still different than the first two. Been trying to find pics online with no luck. Now, I'm human so puting one in the wrong direction I can see but I woudn't think I would do it twice however, its been eating at me and I want to find out before I get any further in the build. Just wanting to see if anyone has any info that might help before I pull the pan back off and check these first two bearings. No guessing here guys please, if you don't know please don't post. Thanks
155 views and no comments? Anyone have a stock d15 laying around they wanna pull the pan and girddle off and give a quick peek?
Did the numbers match on the side of the caps?
If I were you and are really unsure I would take the pan off and double check.you might have put the rod in backwards.

yeah, thinking of double checking. Rods are in correctly, pistons were never removed from the rods and pisions are all marked intake and exhaust. Just second guessing the caps. Thanks for the response.
