Default 98 Accord V6 shifting weird

ok so i've been all over the net and done pretty much as much research as i can about this car but i am having a problem that i have yet to find discissed...now i can imagine that it is probably linked to the same issues as everyone else but i would just like to ask and be sure.

Driving my car around it shifts fairly smoothly but once it gets warmed up the problem i run into is when i let off the gas it instantly starts down shifting but when i apply gas it starts to up shift. I was crusing down the street at about 40mph with a constant force applied to the gas but when i needed to start slowing down i took my foot off the gas and before i could apply the brake it starts forcefully downshifting gears all the way to either 1st or 2nd, so i apply some gas again and it goes back to 3rd or 4th until i let off the gas again...

Weird problem and only happens when its warm, i took off the Lock up solenoid on the top and the filters were clean, i'm curious if this could be a problem with the linear solenoid? i'm sure the thing is ready for a rebuild and that is what i am going to end up doing but wouldnt mind driving it a little bit until then. Needless to say i'm not too upset about it since i picked it up last weekend for $400.00 :p
