my maint. required light is on....how much to get car serviced?
my maint. required lite is on and i was wondering how much it is to get serviced at an acura dealer, i have a 1999 integra with 50k miles
I say change your oil, plugs and air filter, and reach under the dash and push the little blue button
. Right now might be a good time to do your timing belt also

good time for timing belt? no sir its to early for that. wait another 50 thousand. and just chance ur plugs ect fr now.
Um reach under the dash hit the button and then throw some new spark plugs in there and then change your oil and filters-air -oil-fuel and you should be good to go, if you want to spend some money on your car right now would be a good time to get your fuel injectors professionally cleaned. the dealership will rape you if you take your car in every time that maintenance light comes on!!!!

just press the reset button and waaalllllaaahhh!... the light is gone.
.Go buy chevron techron fuel system cleaner, that takes care of your injectors.
Buy some NGK copper plugs for your car.
Do an oil change.
Rotate your tires, and check pressures.
Check your airfilter. If its dirty, buy an AEM CAI, no sense in buying another oem paper filter. lol.
Push the little button under the dash, and you're set.

50K is a bit too early for a timing belt change... not sure if the car was well maintained or if it had its 45K service interval/maintenance done...
since its used (I'm assuming its used since it has 50K and the maintenance required light seems new to you).. I would just replace a bunch of things to start off "new" from the time you got it... I'd do:
oil and filter change
valve adjustment
coolant flush
throw in a bottle of fuel system cleaner
spark plugs, cap and rotor
tranny fluid change
check brake pads, bleed brakes/change brake fluid
check the air filter..
check air and rotate tires (check brakes too)
fuel filter
might wanna check out your CV boots, belts/hoses, etc for cracks or any odd wear... check the battery, etc...
when your done reach up under the dash and push/hold the button...
a lot of these might not be needed if the previous owner took good care of the car.. but whenever my friend gets a "new" USED car.. he changes all the fluids and filters so it starts off "new" from the time he owned it...
