B20Vtec Issue....
Okay here's the story.
91 Crx Dx
B16a Head
B20b Bottom end.
Has a Si engine harness, with vtec wires ran to the Ecu.
For some reason it's stuck in limp mode..
Whenever We first put the engine together it ran perfectly fine, then i took the stock cam gears off and put Fidanza cam gears on. Started it up everything was fine. went to drive it and bounces at 3k (limp mode)
The ECU says its only throwing O2 sensor code...Running a PR3 Ecu
I changed out the ECU for a Chipped PR4 converted to Vtec and it Still does the same thing...
So...any help?

Lol @ B18C fanboi's poke! Nice one. But to suggest the distributor being 180 out is laughable. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the slots in the cam and distributor are offset (not centered) therefore making it almost impossible to install 180 out without putting in much work and persuading it in by way of a BFH! Most likely, you would break the distributor before you managed to get all 3 bolts secure.
Can I get a show of hands of the people who have actually been successful installing their distributor 180 out?
Op, are you sure about only getting 1 code? Have you checked it while hitting limp mode before shutting the car down?

On chevy's they have the PS pump off the end of the cam.... I think; its been a long time. But I had one come in to the shop where they guy broke the cam by not lining up whatever he needed to line up. I remember having to replace the head because of it.
