Icon3 Honda Tuning Magazine

So I decided I wanted to subscribe to their 9 issue magazine for 14.95.

I enter my credit card/debit card info. and of course get forwarded to other deals and promotions before I can complete my purchase. There's another screen it takes you to asking if you would like 18 issues for 24.95 and have 10 minutes to decide. I don't check the box and ocntinue to checkout. I check my chase online bank statement an hour or so later and find this:

PendingMisc. DebitPOS DEBIT PSI*HONDA TUNING 800-333-0318 NY $24.95 PendingMisc. DebitPOS DEBIT PSI*HONDA TUNING 800-333-0318 NY $24.95

This is the part where I almost go nuts after spending 40 minutes with sprint getting them to remove a 33 dollar charge this morning then this, this afternoon. I didn't want the "big deal" nor am I dumb enough to sign up for 18 issues twice. I've been on the internet since external dial up modems and I wouldn't do such a foolish thing.

I grit my teeth and head to the "contact us" link and what do you know the link that takes you to problems and such with your subscriptions doesn't work. I tried the link on several machines. Here give it a go

https://store.primediamags.com/servi...tuningmagazine

Does anyone know a phone number of someone I can speak with to correct this without having to call my bank and file a fraud claim?

Edit: Well I placed a random follow up with the 1800 number listed on my bank statement and sure enough it got me to Honda tuning customer service. I was promptly put on hold for a few minutes and a representative gets to me and I go over everything I did hear. Long story short 34.95 of my money will be refunded to me in 7-20 business days(too bad I'm not a bank and can't charge interest).

Moral of the story possible subscribers new and old check your bank statement with these people. Grant it the mistake was corrected now I have to pay a penalty of not having my own money back for 7-10 days for someone elses mistake.

I don't check the box and ocntinue to checkout.

You have to check the box to get the additional year subscription. That's what I meant by "checking" the box.

Be clear then. But still, how is this a friggin' tech question/issue? This is the kind of BS that needs to stay in GDD.

I can almost BET that you left the default option checked without even realizing like this right on the first page.

1. Choose Your Subscription Rate:

9 issues for $14.95 -- Save $38.96
18 issues for $24.95 -- Save $82.87

The 18 issue option is checked by default.

REGARDLESS, it's not a tech issue.

I didn't know if it would get locked in general discussion. I had a longer written condescending reply written out because sometimes your assumptions are ridiculous but I chose to keep it simple. This isn't some "hey guise I want to have a beast civic this is my first car please help!!!" thread. Lets entertain your "BET" that I didn't check the right box. Why would anyone in their right mind order a year of the same subscription?

All this thread was meant for people interested in this magazine or media service as a whole is to check their bank statement after a purchase . That's all. Grumble stop assuming everyone is super dumb all the time man.

What part of this belongs in the TECH forum? If you think it would have gotten locked in GDD why bother posting it here?

You got a messed up deal trying to order some magazine. So what? Don't try to make it bigger than what it is. Like it's some sort of scam or something. Since no one was able to look over your shoulder to see what actually went on I'm not going to jump to the conclusion that it was all the fault of an automated system.Since you are the author of the story you get to write up the story any way you choose. You did your due diligence and got your money back.
