guys im using a y7 distributor in a d16z6 when i went to turn it on for the first time all i see is huge flames come out the turbo making explotions ,my dizzy is facng the square part, fascing tranny, i know the z6 dizzy square part is facing an angle towards the radiator could my car not turning on cause of is way of timing idk help me asap

 

Did you jump the service connector and set the ignition timing? Why are you using that dizzy on the Z6? What's your setup? Explosions? You sure you've checked your cam timing as well?

 

Did you jump the service connector and set the ignition timing??? i dont get it??? yea the cam and pulley is on timing .and im using a y7 dizzy cause im in a budget right now and i just wanted it to start to get around till i get z6 dizzy,my set up is a d16z6 with a 60 trim stock everything pump injectors everyhting ,im not gonna boost yet i got some 310 cc and some other injetors there but with the stock ones should start i know is the timing in the distributor , has neone tried to use a y7 dizzy in a z6 ,the dizzy doesnt bolt up ,just by one screw ,not the top but the right screw ,and i think mayb is because the dizzy it doesnt wanna start ??lmmk

 

You have to jump your service connector(green plug) to set ignition timing. Its the same plug to check your engine codes.

 

is that the one by the ecu ?
