My crx won't running started. Fuel pump not work anymore. I plan to buy new fuel pump. How do I removed abd install new fuel pump. I got confusing cuz some people say its inside in the back crx. Others people say I have to take gas tank out and put fuel pump.. So. I need your help. Thank you so much.HT.
Before you go and replace the fuel pump, how sure you are that your problem is your fuel pump? It could be a main relay, ecu or wiring.
Well to answer your question, I had to drop my tank to do fuel pump on my hatch. Not very sure about crx, but tank is very easy to drop, loosen fuel neck, loosen two strap and it drop right out.

There is no way to access the pump from inside the car unless you wanted to cut a hole to do so lol. The tank doesn't even have to be completely dropped. You can support it with a jack and a board and let it hang just enough to get the fuel pump out. There are a couple of lines to take loose on the driver's side of the tank. You'll see what I mean. And some plastic pieces will also need to be removed to gain access to those. If you're a decent mechanic, this is one of those jobs that's easy to figure out as you go.
As stated though, before dropping the tank, be sure you have diagnosed your problem correctly to avoid wasting money and time. Good luck.
