Just recently got into dirt bikes. Not sure if many people here are into them but here goes my build thread. At the moment my piston took a **** on me.

As you can see this top end was way over due for a rebuild. Causing me to crack the casing just to get stupid little bits of the piston out.







So at the moment I have the clutch, flywheel, Stator and everything else off the motor and about to split it in half tomarrow.

Im gonna repaint the frame purple and do gold wheels with black plastics. I think it should look bad ***. So I guess I`ll update this with lots of pictures as I go. First time every building a dirt bike so maybe itll be a promising thing.

mind if I ask how much that thing set you back? it looks very complete.
any scoring on the piston or cylinder walls?

 

As it sits about 1200 bucks. But I wasn't expecting it to blow up either. As
I tore down the bike it was obvious the last owner did not take care of it. But itll be a good bike for goofing off on when im finished. Also jug was perfect. I think the fact it locked up saved it. But once I got the fragments out of the way it turned over just fine. So just honed the jug and had the head checked for warpage its all good to go just need my crank.
