What part should I replace to save my car?
I have a 1997 accord LX, this morning the key CANT insert into ignition. I tried to rotated wheel while i was pushing the key, but its not work. I noticed that the door was unlocked when i came at the first time, so maybe someone did something in my car last night, i think. I took homeworks and figured out that many cases such as keys stuck in the ignition are solved by replacing the ignition switch. Also i found i CANT just replaced the ignition lock cylinder without the key in it. So, do you guys have some suggestions about the problem ? Which part should i replace by myself in order to save money?
Thanks
Thanks
I don't think Honda sells just the tumbler by itself.

If you are lucky you may be able to just remove the lock assembly and smack it on the ground a few times to loosen the tumbler and key ways. But if some muppet stabbed a screwdriver in there they probably damaged the cylinder.

From what I've heard before, if you can't get a key in there, then the lock cylinder assembly has to be drilled out from the back.
You're going to need someone to do it I believe, if you have never done it before.
Normally you need to be able to get the key in there and turn it to the on position, then you need to push the button on the front side of the cylinder then the lock cylinder just pulls out. If someone did try to steal ur car and got something stuck or broke in there you're going to need to have someone drill through that center piece in part number 1 above to remove it. Just what I read when I researched this one day when someone broke off a plastic knife in mines. Luckily I wound up being able to pull it out with a pair of pliers or something. You need to try to get whatever it is out first.
