only reason im considering it is because its one of the only clean preludes with low miles i can find in my area, but i would prefer a non SH

 

EBay!! CL!! $4-$6K Depending on Miles mods and Condition.. i just seen a 2004 STI for $5K From some Rich kid in Tampa Palms Because he THOUGHT it was toast an all it was , A Spun Bearing i called and a Guy I knew from My Area was buying it already

Is this Prelude still available? I can't find a really clean Lude with low mileage in So Cal either. If it's in excellent cond bbk values it at $7900?

Yeah, you can keep riding your bicycle until you find one for under $5k.

Truth is that a well maintained, relatively low mileage & clean 5g Prelude is worth more than $5k. You might find one for less if you find someone that is in a hurry to sell of the car itself is not in nearly the condition you'd expect. There's not a lot of these cars on the road anymore and it's only getting harder to find one in mint condition anymore.

Very well said Slayer, I completely agree. There's 2 things to keep in mind, "you gotta pay to play" and "you get what you pay for"... A Prelude under 5k: super high mileage 160k+, most likely salvaged title, it's an automatic transmission, motor burns excessive oil, dents and scratches all over the car, been modded out not even close to stock, been in a few accidents etc...

If the body is in good condition and the maintenance has been kept up (already had the timing belt/tensioner/water pump done) Then I could see 7-8k
