The bad thing about the 98-02 Accord V6 models, is the crappy 4 speed auto transmission.

Once you start increasing HP the tranny doesn't like it. I swapped the heads on the 3.0, used 3.5 heads and New CL-s cams. Ported the entire Top End. After that, the tranny stated acting up...my mechanic said it was probably the hydraulic pump, based on the way it acted.

You can put all the bolt-ons and tune it, but it won't yield much.

What we are doing now is swapping the entire drive-train. Either a 3.2 or bigger, with a 6 speed transmission. Some of us are using the 5 speed auto from an 06 or newer Accord V6, only because of physical limitations..

**It costs alot to make the Accords fast, without using Forced Induction.

As much as I love my 01 Accord, 8 years and counting.....I will actually tell you to steer clear of those v6 models because you will always be putting money into the tranny. Unless you really want to put the money into it, buy something else.

go to 6thgenaccord.com, a decent amount of people swapped 6speeds into their v6 CG chassis
