1998 Honda Civic EX - for the past year my Honda has been making an irritating creaking sound when you get into the vehicle, and especially when you go over speed bumps, etc. Creaking sound is in the front and rear. Is this the suspension? I've checked the ball joints and they look good. Could it be the springs or the rubber components for the strut and shock towers? Thanks!

Do you have a pic for front and rear - it looks like several? Are you saying all of them, or one in general? How hard are they to replace - do they press in or just pop out? Thanks!


I saw another post on here that says 9 times out of ten the bushings are still good but just need to be lubed up a little. I might try this as I really do not feel like pulling everything apart. Here is a pick for the front end. Can anyone suggest which bushing to lube up? Preferably with what type of lube? Thanks!

How many miles are on the car? There are 26 bushings.

 

The vehicle has 86,000 miles. I noticed that when it rains the noise goes away. Maybe lubing them up with a lithium type spray grease??

 

That isn't anything, is the suspension stock?

Lubeing them may do something, however, they are rubber so I don't know for sure.
