im trying to figure out what would make more power cheaper, a straight up h23 swap or building a f22 h23 frankenstein motor. what im wanting is something that will run with a stock camero or mustang maybe even out run

What Camaro/Mustang are you looking to beat? Because nether of the engines you posted will hold a pinch of shyte to a V8.

To be honest though, the H23 swap will make more power than an H23/F22 Frank........

What is your budget, that will tell you if you can run with a V8. Unfortunately, cheaper probably isn't going to cut it. If it's under $5k for the engine alone. Don't even bother! That is unless you completely gut your car down to the driver seat and just one last bolt!

Forced induction would probably be your best avenue to look down.

Lol, this made me laugh, its very true.
You're going to have a hard time keeping up with the new crowd of camaros and mustangs, hell even the v6 engines they're offering in lower trims make 300+ HP.
That aside, traction will become your biggest enemy.

As someone who raced a fox body pony car for years I can tell you my 300 horse Mustang would holeshot many imports faster than myself due to my ability to hook up.

Ghost is right about forced induction.
Its going to be the most cost effective way to the kind of power you'll need to be able to hang in a roll on.
