What is required for an MTF change?
Tools:
Breaker bar
17mm socket
Several different length extentions
Torque Wrench
Funnel with a length of hose attached to it.
That should do it

Why the breaker bar? All it is is removing the drain plug with a socket, drain fluid, insert plug with new washer, remove fill plug, insert hose, fill to brim with MTF, close fill plug, be done with it.

I would remove the fill plug first, just in case you can't get it off.. that way you are not stuck with a fluidless tranny.

Oh.... fergot also get a telescopic magnet to get metal flakes out.
I was looking at a Helms from a prelude (someone scanned it and uploaded it) and it said that the lude has a stock magnetic lug? is this true? can it fit the drain hole of a GSR tranny?
will the magnetic prelude drain plug fit the GSR tranny drain plug
watch out when you are breaking loose the drain plug. When I did mine (using a standard 3/8 rachet) I slammed my hand into another bolt and cut a tendon (still in therapy after 10 weeks) in my middle finger. Make sure to use as long of an extension and also break the bolts loose towards the ground if possible.
doesnt spoon sports make those magnetic drain bolts for the tranny and oil pan?
they are nice and all....but 45 bucks????
I hope the drain bolts off of a lude are cheaper...and are the same size, can anyone verify this?
along w/ what everyone else said...

when you fill you can either use a funnel w/ a long tube.. or I bought a pump for under $5 at the local Kragen/Checker/Shucks autopart store w/ a long clear vinyl tube where I can pump the fluid into the fill hole.. either way works... good luck..

i changed my tranny fluid today on my 99 Ls. Theres a magnetic drain bolt on there from factory.. I was surprise to see little metal flakes adhere to the bolt. I'm thinking about changing it on a frequent basis. I too had to use a breaker bar to loosen up the bolt.. it was a bish to get off.
