Me and a buddy tried doing it on his civic. with just a few bolts from home depot. We didn't have any instructions though. We got it to fold up properly and it looks nice but it was about 5 inches from closing. We never did try to finish it.

Come on ARMHARM you know not to post that **** on HT.com That "flip trunk" has absolutely no function to it, in fact and OEM trunk flips upward already, allowing access to the trunk so why would any one want do that point less modification which would lower the value of your car.

man... for that flip flop trunk.. i think its gay too.. but i saw it at HIN. and all they do is remove the bolts holding the lid to those bars.. i think there are 2 bolts on each bar. and put some kind of hinge on the last bolt.. but i think it creates issues when trying to shut it. i even saw a guy close one.. and he had to mess with it to get the part close to the window to shut properly. flip flop trunk

 

my friend did this to his prelude, he got the hinges and bolts from home depot. total cost was $2.50 and took him all but 20min
